Why We Built This

Every Indian traveller has had the same experience: you ask a travel agent how much a Bali trip costs, and you get a wildly inflated quote. Or you spend hours across 10 different websites trying to piece together a realistic budget. Or you just don't travel because you're not sure if you can actually afford it.

Factvisit started with a simple belief: international travel from India is cheaper than most people think — and the information to prove it should be free, transparent, and built for how Indians actually plan trips.

We're not a travel agency. We don't earn from bookings (well, a small affiliate commission here and there — see our Affiliate Disclosure). We earn when you plan better trips, not when you overpay for them. Read how our estimates are generated or browse the FAQ for common questions.

Our Data Sources

Budget estimates come from a combination of:

• Numbeo — crowd-sourced cost of living data for 600+ cities worldwide
• EIU (Economist Intelligence Unit) — City Cost of Living surveys
• National Tourism Boards — official visitor spend statistics
• Aviation fare data — aggregated from Skyscanner and Google Flights historical records
• Community reports — traveller spending reports and budget blogs
