Rest at hotel — this is not optional. The desert safari pickup is 3:30–4 pm and it's a 5-hour experience. Rest now or you'll be exhausted by 8 pm at the camp. Hotel pool if you have energy. —

3 days covers the essential highlights — Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, desert safari, Old Dubai, and the Palm. You won't have time for Aquaventure, a full beach day, or any theme parks, but you'll see the defining experiences of the city. For a first-time long weekend trip from Mumbai or Delhi (easy 3-hour flight), 3 days is perfectly satisfying. Most people who do 3 days come back for a longer trip.

Is 5 days enough for Dubai?

5 nights is the ideal duration for a first Dubai trip — you can cover all the major attractions (Burj Khalifa, Aquaventure, desert safari, Old Dubai, JBR Beach, and a theme park or Abu Dhabi day trip) without feeling rushed. One day can be slightly relaxed. This is the most popular duration for Indian travellers flying from Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore.

What's the best order for a Dubai itinerary?

Day 1: Downtown and Burj Khalifa (orient yourself with the skyline). Day 2: Aquaventure (big physical day — do it while fresh). Day 3: Desert safari in the evening (midday rest essential).
